The city of Brighton, Michigan is a suburb of Metro Detroit located in the southeastern portion of Livingston County. The Brighton area incorporates the surrounding townships of Genoa, Brighton, and Green Oak. It forms part of the South Lyon-Howell-Brighton-Hartland urban area with the City of Brighton’s population of approximately 7,649.

Located only 19 miles from Ann Arbor, Brighton is centered amidst other major destinations, including Detroit and Lansing. Huron Meadows Metropark is one of few parks in Michigan offering skate-style and classically groomed trails for cross-country skiing. For year-round recreation, the Legacy Center Sports Complex in Green Oak Township is the Midwest’s destination for world-class facilities and professional-grade athletic training.
