Meet The Team

As a teenager, Mitch worked alongside his stepfather, a field superintendent for a Detroit-area builder. Mitch initially started with construction cleanup, eventually learned carpentry and other skills and, ultimately, experienced all facets of the business by the time he left for college.

Mitch obtained his real estate and builder’s license and graduated from Central Michigan University in 1980 with a degree in business administration and finance. While working in a real estate office in Howell, a young couple came in needing to find a builder for their property in Milford, Michigan.

“I said, ‘Hey, I’m a builder. I’ll build you a home.’ So I built them a 1,000 square foot ranch,” Mitch said. “That was the first house I built - $50,000. I still remember the sale price.”

Mitch later found an investor and began to build spec homes in northern Brighton. “That’s when I started moving in them,” he said. With just enough furniture and belongings to fit in two pick-up trucks, Mitch lived in his spec homes until they were completed and ready to sell.

“I was on top of the world,” he said.

Now, Mitch is still on top of the world celebrating his 45th business anniversary beside his daughter, Colbie, who has also learned all facets of building custom homes.
