The city of Howell, Michigan is the largest city in Livingston County and forms part of the South Lyon-Howell-Brighton urban area of Metro Detroit.

Howell is a National Registered Historic District, an official Michigan “Cool City” and was recently named a Top 10 Great American Main Street (GAMSA) community. The historic downtown district has quickly become a local attraction, boasting distinctive destination eateries, bakeries, craft breweries, and a speakeasy. It has a surplus of unique boutiques and offers many goods ranging from home decor, clothing, antiques, and specialty items. Downtown is anchored by the beautiful Livingston County Courthouse and Amphitheater, which hosts many hometown events throughout the year.
